Introduction 124

"After more than one year in lockdown and locked down in my own mind the longing for the club and my own insanity is peaking so I decided to choose darker, sadder and somehow crooked tracks for this podcast journey. My approach to all this is to acknowledge the hardship and live through without sugarcoating. There is beauty in melancholy - then lets be melancholic!"

What do you do to get into a creative state?

"To be honest, I have not been in a creative state for a long time. Let's hope this will come back soon ;)"

What do you love most about being an artist?

"To do what I love!"

How do you stay focused in a world of constant distraction?

"I often don't - and this gives space and opportunity for inspiration."

Do you have a morning routine?

"I do 10 minutes of stretching every morning, and I eat an orange."

What, for you, is the purpose of art?

"To perceive oneself and others."

What is sacred to you?

"Everything and nothing."

What do you want to express with your music?

"I used to try to make people enjoy their time in the club but during Corona my thoughts wandered and I guess I will expand that to a more questioning and elaborate purpose. Not knowing what exactly it might be..."

What fascinates you about your art form?

"That it's gone the moment you experience it."

Where do you draw your inspiration from?

"Music, paintings, philosophy, meditation - everything I am doing."

What is your opinion on success?

"It's necessary and it's a curse."

What is your opinion on failure?

"Hard but helpful."

What would your 16 year old self think about what you’re doing today?

"I would ask myself if I could use my studio."

What makes you laugh?

"Dad jokes."

In which ways could the scene improve in the future?

"I think there is no improvement in art, just change."

Who will considerably give direction to the scene soon?

"Well after Corona the cards might be a bit reshuffled - let's see what will develop, I am excited!"

What can we expect from you in the near future?

"I am restructuring my view as an artist right now as many probably do. I think I will be less pleasing and more annoying - hopefully in a good way."

Most profound insight you had since you started this career?

"Everything is possible because everything changes constantly."

How do you, as a musician, cope with the limitations of the scene by the COVID pandemic?

"I have an intermediate job and can observe my past career from a kind of secured point. I want to regard this time as an opportunity. It still sucks balls though..."
